Fedor Kruse following insinuations of a deal being in place. The fast-growing network spotted people suggesting an official tie up and took to social media to stamp out the rumour.
Fedor Kruse Nothing to Do with GGPoker
You can’t beat a good rumour on the internet. Especially when it’s about the latest controversy.
The thing is though, when a scandal breaks rumours can run out of control.
Patrick Leonard, partypoker ambassador and high stakes player, was quick to seek some clarification on the matter.
Very very interesting twist in the Fedor Krise case. A lot of people said that it should be impossible to be an ambassador and cheat. News today is that it was just a software feature and he was never connected/ambassador. Changes things A LOT if true. Why not say this before? pic.twitter.com/pAyBtgb5VO

It turns out that GGNetwork implemented a software feature that changed the screen name text colour for certain people in the poker industry.
“The three highlight tags sponsored pro (blue), streamer (purple) and influencer (yellow) are shared throughout the entire network and have been in place for ages.”
Talk about jumping to conclusions.
GGPoker Steps Up Security Following Fedor Kruse Scandal
Following the dramatic outing of Fedor Kruse GGPoker has stepped up their security.
It has long been feared that a day would arrive when players would be able to utilise real time assistance without operators being able to spot the cheating. Fortunately, GGPoker is willing to put our minds at rest.
They have upgraded their systems in order to stay one step ahead of any would be cheaters.
Breaking: GGPoker makes decision on real time assistance:
– "Through our upgraded detection methods, we have discovered a small group of RTA users"
– 13 accounts banned, $1.2 million confiscated
– 27 further banned, no confiscation
– 40 warnedNo nameshttps://t.co/4jAq9QIvfj

We have re-dedicated our efforts to combatting RTA and have swiftly adopted enhanced RTA detection methods and improved our internal processes for handling these cheaters.
Although there are public concerns that RTA is an imminent threat to the status quo in that it is undetectable, that is patently false. Our Security Team is fully aware of the different ways that RTA is being used, and we want to emphasize that RTA is detectable.
This is the news that all major platforms need to be dishing out right now.
With fears about real time assistance at an all-time high GGPoker has put their new software to good use by already unmasking a group of cheaters.
- 13 accounts have been banned and $1,175,305.43 confiscated (to be returned to players)
- 27 accounts have been banned with no confiscation
- 40 accounts have been issued warnings
Maintaining Integrity
The ability to detect a cheater takes many different forms. From what GGPoker tells us, they are checking a player’s line with a GTO solution they simulated themselves.
This is a novel idea, for sure, but it can never fully constitute proof.
Maybe it will be enough though. The online chess world underwent a huge change when computers became stronger than the strongest humans. Now the major playing sites regularly check moves with what a computer suggests.
The problem here is that people will work out how to deviate enough so as not to raise suspicion while simultaneously maintaining a high level.
Whatever happens over the next decade or so we can be confident that the major platforms are fully investing in the integrity of our game.
