GGNetwork has just launched Battle Royale, a new and action-packed poker format that combines the best of PKO and Sit & Gos! To celebrate the launch in style, they have also added a high-value $15,000 Battle Royale Leaderboard.
Battle Royale combines PKO with Sit & Go
Battle Royale is a combination of all of the fun parts of the most popular tournaments, namely the Progressive Knockout Bounty (PKO), but in form of a Sit & Go, which means you don’t have to invest a one hour and get action straight away!
The new, action-packed format starts with 100 players and is divided into three phases and poker formats: Rush, Shootout and Final Table.
Stage 1 – The Rush Zone
The first stage is known as the Rush Zone and is among the most exciting sections of the Battle Royale.
The action is fast and furious, since the Rush Zone is played as a fast-forward poker tournament, which means players move to a new table after every hand.
Rush Zone ends when there are either 50 players left or the 15-minute time limit is up. The top 50 players are defined by chip stacks, players eliminated and total hands played.
Stage 2 – The Shootout Zone
If you manage to survive the Rush stage, then you move on to the Shootout Zone.
There the 50 remaining players play a 5-handed Shootout tournament on ten different tables.
The winner of each table is on the final table. In case the 15-minute time limit is exceeded and there are two or more players left, the format changes to a Flipout format, where you are All-In every hand until a winner is crowned.
Stage 3 – The Final Table
The third and final stage is the final table, which is played as a classic MTT, since there are no more time limits.
All players are already in the money and battle it out for the first place prize, which is 21.13 % of the total prize pool.
