Next Chapter of the Galfond Challenge
The Galfond Challenge at Run It Once Poker will continue on September 16th. Chance Kornuth will be taking on the Run It Once Poker founder in an epic clash and try to win a $1 million side bet as well.

Phil Galfond is certainly headed into this upcoming clash with a lot of confidence. He has proven that he’s exceptionally good over the past couple of months against multiple world-class opponents.
He came back from being down almost $1 million against “VeniVidi1993” and even made a small profit at the €100/€200 stakes against him.
Next up were Bill Perkins and “ActionFreak”. Galfond bagged up some really nice profits against both players and is looking to extend his winning streak against his upcoming opponent.
Galfond played a total of 15,000 hands against Ioannis ‘ActionFreak’ Kontonatsios at stakes of €150/€300 and managed to come up with a total profit of more than €100,000. On top of that, he also won a €150,000 side bet.
Despite winning against the just-mentioned opponents he has also played a mini-challenge against Daniel “Jungleman” Cates and won it decisively. Even though they played only 754 against each other, Phil managed to bag a profit of almost €90,000.
About Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth is a professional poker player from Colorado and a two-time WSOP bracelet winner.
He has been playing poker since 2006 and piled up more than $7.4 million in tournament winnings throughout his career.
While some of the previous matches have been considered fairly even in terms of the odds, Phil is highly favored to win the next Galfond Challenge against Kornuth.
Galfond is currently 1.11 to win against Kornuth, Bill Perkins was the only player but be a bigger underdog against him. The bookmakers apparently think that it will be an easy task for Phil.

However, betting on Kornuth at odds of 7,00 seems pretty risky but might be highly lucrative in the end. Kornuth is obviously excited and well-prepared for this upcoming challenge.
Galfond Challenge Details
Galfond has already announced earlier that he would be playing 35k hands of €100/€200 PLO against Kornuth.

Moreover, the players have agreed on a huge €1m side bet at odds of 1:4. Kornuth is also the first poker coach who is playing in the Galfond Challenge.
Brandon Adams will be the next competitor of the Galfond Challenge. He will be playing 40 hours in total and the players have agreed on a $150k side bet.
