Juicy High Stakes Action from the Aria Casino
We reported yesterday on Phil Hellmuth’s crazy rollercoaster in the very last two hands of the night on Poker After Dark.
The “Poker Brat” managed to double up his stack then lose it all in back-to-back deals.
Now, 15-time WSOP bracelet winner Hellmuth, Tom Dwan, Jennifer Tilly and the rest of the bunch are back at the Aria in Las Vegas, NV for some more $100/$200 cash game action.
Dwan greeted his long-time playing mate Daniel Negreanu on Twitter. Negreanu has seen a lot of criticism from the online poker community lately, so some affection shown probably meant a lot to him these days.
Hey @RealKidPoker . It’s been a while since we played together.
Today’s PAD was fun

However, “Kid Poker” wasn’t featured on PAD last night yet. Still, there was plenty to watch during the live streamed session.
Without further ado, here’s the top 5 most interesting pots from the last episode of the classic poker show.
The Biggest One – $467K Pot on Poker After Dark
The largest pot of the night was played between American entrepreneur Alan Keating and British casino owner Rob Yong.
Keating was playing loose and splashy all night, seeing flops with all kinds of garbage. In this hand, however, he picked up an actual hand, AQ off-suit. Yong was holding 74 of clubs.
By the turn, the board was 5Q4 2, two clubs. Keating had top pair top kicker, while Yong had a pair and a flush draw.
That was enough for the two get their stacks in, ballooning the pot up to $467,000 – the largest of this episode of Poker After Dark.
Rob Yong ended up hitting another 4 on the river for trips, felting Alan Keating.
Paul Emmett All-In with 65
As we wrote above, there was a lot of loose plays during this high stakes cash game.
However, what Paul Emmett did was crazy even by this game’s standards.
Former NBA player Paul Pierce shoved all-in with pocket tens over Emmett’s button limp. Pierce all-in was for $22,800, more than 100 BB’s – but Paul Emmett still called with 6 high…
The board was ran twice, Emmett – dare we say deservedly – lost both deals.
Tom Dwan and Alan Keating Clash in Two Huge Pots
Keating was in almost every pot, making huge bets and questionable plays left and right.
Although overall he lost over $300K at the table, he also had some memorable moments.
He hit an open-ender on the river against Tom Dwan’s top pair. His image got Keating paid off this time, pocketing a $117,000 pot against one of poker’s greatest of all time.
Within just 10 minutes, however, “Durrrr’ got his revenge. He flopped a set of Queens. On the river, he checked and thus was able to induce a bluff from Keating with 7-high. Dwan put in the check-raise – Keating could do nothing but fold.
Dwan took down a $185K pot this time.
Flush Over Flush for Over $200,000
This episode of Poker After Dark also brought about some coolers.
Rob Yong was on the cold end of it against Jennifer Tilly. Yong flopped the second nuts King-high flush, while Tilly had him beat the whole time with the nut Ace-high flush.
This hand unsurprisingly ended with the two players moving all-in on the river. Jennifer Tilly won no less than $229,100 in that hand.
