Doug Polk has announced a new business partnership with Ethan “Rampage” Yau and Nik Airball at The Lodge Card Club.
The Upswing Poker founder said that the pair have the perfect playing style to fit in with the Lodge Card club ownership group.
Let’s face it, Rampage is one of the most visible poker vloggers in the space right now, famed for his do-or-die approach with poker goals. He plays in the highest stakes games he can find and is not scared to make moves that would have other players wilting at the table.
Nik Airball is one of the most polarising poker personalities in the game, and also one of the most talked about.
Polk said:
“However you want to chop it up, these are two of the largest personalities in poker today. And they certainly make things more entertaining.”
He added that both Rampage and Airball understand exactly what the content game is about, which is key to getting yourself in the eyes of the poker community today.
Rampage was actually involved with The Lodge Card Club in the past, appearing on many of its live streams before Polk bought the business.
As for Nik Airball, even Polk says he is unsure what kind of role he will play. Controversial doesn’t even come close to describing his personality at the table.
And when we say at the table, it’s important to understand that players do often have a different personality when the cameras are rolling.
Whatever Nik Airball comes up with as a Lodge Card Club investor, we’re sure he will make things interesting. Polk makes it clear that he is very good for poker because he knows that it’s all a show, and we agree.
For players who can travel to Austin, Texas, there will be plenty of opportunities to get into a game with both Airball and Rampage.
