Poker legend Doyle Brunson had a couple of things to say about Remko Rinkema’s List of 10 Most Talented Poker Players of All Time.
Even though Rinkema created his listed more than half a year ago, it still seems to have bothered „Texas Dolly“.
Bring the players into Bobby's Room. See how they do with untalented guys like Rast, Siever, Angry, Johnny World, Ray D, Oppie, and any other regulars. #7 should be #1. https://t.co/JM6Bxpi9WR

Brunson was certainly not happy with Rinkema’s take on that topic and suggested that those players should step into Bobby’s Room and compete against players like Rast, Siever, and several other regulars.
Doyle obviously has a lot of respect for some veteran players who did not make it to the list, and it seems like he felt that these high stakes regulars did not receive get the credit that they actually deserve.
Watching Chip Reese play in The High Stakes games at The Horseshoe during the late 80' s & 90's during The WSOP was a thing of beauty!I think the only time I ever saw him lose was when he played Archie Karas in the middle of The Horseshoe poker room ( around 1992) !

Moreover, he suggested putting Chip Reese at the number one spot instead of Phil Ivey. It didn’t take long for the Twitter followers to comment on Brunson’s tweet. Several of them agreed on Brunson’s praises of Chip Reese.
The old Ivey was right at the top. Somehow since he started spending his time in China he hasn't been as sharp. https://t.co/2tx5VZBFzX

The old Phil Ivey was definitely at the top of the game back in the days, however, according to Brunson he has not been the same after he went to China.
Generally speaking, there is a huge difference between the so-called most talented and best players according to Doyle.
Overall, it seems like there is a big difference between just being a highly talented player and actually being one of the best.
It’s certainly hard to set actually objective criteria for both categories, therefore it’s almost impossible to create a list which everybody will agree on.
Rinkema almost immediately replied to Brunson’s remarks and asked him where he would put himself on that list.
Where would you put yourself talent wise? When a new game popped up, would you adapt quickly? Obviously this is a silly discussion but thanks for chiming in!

Doyle’s Top 10 Most List to be published
Brunson announced that he would compile two different lists after he was finished watching football, however, he did not publish them just yet.
Certainly, there are plenty of fans already eagerly waiting for the poker legend to come up with his take on the controversial topic.
I'll make 2 lists. Have to be after football though. https://t.co/5v1M4Msroa pic.twitter.com/B90o5Ihg9u

Doyle was in full attack mode this day and burned a hater who suggested that Brunson and Negreanu played “like complete shit” on High Stakes Poker.
LOL. I won 15 consecutive times on high stakes poker. Because everybody was trying to make plays, I played ABC poker.Daniel got cold decked over and over. https://t.co/n18dSMDSTg
