Poker legend Doyle Brunson has just announced that the creators of The Last Dance are working on a documentary about his life. While there have been several movies about poker in the past, this upcoming documentary might be more appealing to the poker audience in general.

Doyle Brunson is certainly one of the most successful and most prolific poker players in history. He has not only been amongst the best players for several decades but is also well respected by his peers.
Furthermore, he mentioned multiple times that there have been numerous noteworthy occasions during his poker career. Especially in the early days, when poker has not been as popular as it became in the 2000s, Brunson has already been around. He traveled through the States, looking for games and dominating the tables.
He started out playing illegal games on Exchange Street in Forth Worth and traveled several other states and played in illegal games which were usually run by criminals and mobsters.
During that time there have been multiple occasions where he got robbed and beaten and even had a gun pulled on him.
Throughout his career, Brunson has won 10 WSOP bracelets and his total live tournament winnings combine for more than $6,000,000.

While Texas Dolly has just confirmed that a Doyle Brunson is in the making most recently, he already mentioned that there might be something big coming up soon back in May 2021.

However, there have not been any details about the documentary available just yet. Brunson has just informed his followers that the producers of the Michael Jordan documentary The Last Dance will be working on this project.
The Last Dance is a 10-part miniseries. It was produced by ESPN Films and Netflix and revolves around the NBA goat Michael Jordan.
Critics praised the documentary and it has an approval rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Therefore it is safe to say that we can expect a lot of the upcoming Brunson documentary. Texas Dolly’s life has plenty of film-worthy stories and the documentary has the potential to be highly interesting for both, fans of poker and the general audience.
