Doug Polk and Daniel Negreanu are to play a high stakes heads up match to settle their on-going feud. The pair have been at each other’s throats for years now and this battle is sure to have pulses racing with the action streaming live for all to see.
Doug Polk Calls Out Daniel Negreanu
There couldn’t possibly be a more intense grudge match than what we have on our hands here. Two of the best poker players on the planet who absolutely cannot stand each other.
The buildup has also seen the tension rise between the pair to record levels.

Game On
Daniel Negreanu has made headlines across poker media quite a bit over the last few weeks. His public meltdown over the WSOP.com software locking up streamed live to the world in embarrassing fashion.
As if that wasn’t enough, the ultimate embarrassment came a week ago when he was banned from the Twitch poker platform. An errant viewer posted a rude comment about Negreanu’s wife and copped an expletive ridden rant for his trouble.
Polk then proceeded to make a compilation clip of all Negreanu’s faux pas moments which escalated the situation leaving Negreanu extremely humiliated.
Typically, Joey Ingram then stepped in to suggest a good old fashioned “heads up for rollz” match to settle the dispute.

Even with all what was said over the years Polk still found time to make it clear the bad feeling wasn’t always the case.
Negreanu pointed out that he was aware Polk used to be a fan but then resorted to making videos that he didn’t think were funny. Polk clarified the situation for him.
“You were one of my favorite players. But that didn’t end because I made videos online, it ended because somewhere along the way you totally sold out to make money at the expense of the common player.”

This match stands to outshine the current Galfond Challenge matches. Not only that but is this juicier than even seeing Jungleman and durrrr getting it back on?
This duel will have more emotion behind it than any other in the history of poker, and the whole community knows exactly how they both feel.
Negreanu initially proposed some kind of tournament/cash hybrid format where the blinds could rise periodically but Polk stood his ground.
Negreanu didn’t push and quickly suggested a format that suits Polk down to the ground.

Now all that’s left to do is agree the match length and finalise which site they will play on and who will stream it.
Looking at the tweets, up to 25,000 hands looks likely. This is plenty of time for Polk to stretch his legs and show his edge.
Negreanu is also going to have a tough time preparing as he is currently grinding the WSOP 2020 hard trying to win his seventh WSOP gold bracelet.
