Doug Polk seems hell-bent on re-igniting his long-running feud with Daniel Negreanu. This time he is ripping the Canadian to bits for his horrendous $12.5million heads-up losing streak…
Doug Polk firing shots at Daniel Negreanu
As we revealed earlier this week, Polk is back doing poker videos once again, and his old foe Negreanu takes center stage for his opener.
Polk begins his news roundup with: “Our top story tonight…Phil Hellmuth’s epic winning streak continues as he destroys Negreanu in their third straight match.”
Polks then adds the cutting: “…Daniel Negreanu yet again with another impressive second-place finish…out of two players!”
Daniel Negreanu's EPIC Losing Streak Continues
New video of poker news topics, including a recap of DNeg's unreal and very costly run of heads-up losses that has lasted almost *8 years*

Of course, Polk has some serious help putting together his humorous though often too-close-to-the-bone videos, with Thomas “SrslySirius” Keeling the tech guy behind them.
Keeling was responsible for the infamous dildo-sucking video montage – now deleted from YouTube for violating their policy on nudity and sexual content – that launched the Grudge Match between Polk and Negreanu, and he was quick to tweet out his own details of Negreanu’s heads-up disasters…
The last tournament Negreanu won was the 2013 WSOP Europe $25k. Not counting Shark Cage.
Since then he is 0-13 in heads up play. https://t.co/pOGlc5yfK6

Negreanu losing three times against Hellmuth
Keeling then listed Negreanu’s conquerors in the mano-a-mano poker showdowns: Paul Volpe, Dan Colman, Ben Lamb, Daniel Alaei, Abe Mosseri, Dan Smith, Justin Bonomo, John Hennigan, Keith Tilston, Doug Polk, Phil Hellmuth (three times).
It was that most recent defeat to Hellmuth in the High Stakes Duel 2 series that provided Polk with the ammunition to take aim at DNegs yet again.
Negreanu managed to lose all three heads-up matches against his old friend and rival, DNegs outplayed and outlucked as we showed in our Poker Hand of the Week.
Back to Keeling and Polk and they had done their homework on Negreanu’s heads-up battles.
Doug gleefully ran through Daniel’s Hendon Mob listing while Keeling gave the tl;dr: “Five of these matches were for bracelets, and one was for a WPT title. Probably just bad luck. But what a run!”
Poker Twitter can be a brutal but often funny place, and Todd Witteles was among those to get in on the act, tweeting: “Today I learned that $1.2 million buys you only 5 months of Doug Polk leaving you alone on social media.”
Does Polk want to play Negreanu heads-up?
That’s how much Polk took from DNegs in their Grudge Match. As others pointed out below, it seems that Polk is back on the “poke Negreanu with a stick and see what happens” trail:
– Shot’s fired. I guess the post-match honeymoon is over 😉
– Yeah, I thought part of the deal was that Doug agreed to stop trolling him once Daniel agreed to do the match.
– He’s not gonna play you again bro!
While Polk was putting together his comeback video, Negreanu was trying to finally win something, with a final table appearance in event 5 of the ongoing PokerGO Cup.
We wouldn’t find out if his heads-up game had improved in the past week or two, though, as he crashed out in 6th spot for a $45k cash.
With $50k and $100k buy-in events to go, can Daniel finally silence his critics with a tournament victory? And if he does, will it make Polk News headlines?
