Doug Polk has announced that he is accepting challengers for a high stakes heads-up live cash game live stream at his poker room The Lodge. Dan “Jungleman” Cates instantly accepted the challenge!
The suggested stakes are $50/$100 or $100/$200 and it looks like all-comers are welcome to step up and face one of the best heads-up NL Hold’em players of all time.
Doug Polk Accepting Challengers for $100/$200 NL Heads-Up at The Lodge
Going to start doing a monthly hu cash stream at the lodge where I take on various challengers.
Thinking it will be around 50/100 or 100/200. If you are interested in setting up a match let me know

Shaun Deeb asked if NL Hold’em was the only option to which Polk replied yes, but added that he would actually prefer other games but it would kill interest in viewing the stream.
Since Doug Polk took over The Lodge with Brad Owen and Andrew Neeme, the team has been flat out with promoting the venue as the place to be for live poker in Texas.
A new stream showing Polk take on another elite player at high stakes will really put the spotlight on the Lodge poker club.
Who Will Challenge Doug Polk at $100/$200 NL Heads-Up Cash?
So, the only question to answer now is: who is brave enough to challenge Doug Polk in his poker format of choice?
Twitter posters were quick to throw out suggestions which although we would like to see that battle, they really aren’t likely to happen.
Bryn Kenney was the first choice of the fans. With all of the recent poker cheating controversy, this would be one hell of a match to watch on stream with all of the table talk laid bare.
Charlie Carrel was another suggestion. This one will never happen given how much dislike there is between the pair.
Jungleman: “I’ll play any of ya cunts hu”
I’ll play any of ya cunts hu, @DougPolkVids @BrynKenney @phil_hellmuth , and actually back up the bullshit I say unlike some people!

But it looks like we don’t even have to give suggestions because none other than Dan “Jungleman” Cates threw his hat into the ring right away.
He even tagged Phil Hellmuth and Bryn Kenney into his reply, showing just how willing he is to take on any player in the world. This has to be the first match that we see and it shouldn’t be difficult to organise.
There were also some other interesting choices posted in the Twitter thread. Garett Adelstein is another elite player who is fearless and will play anybody.
For those looking for a match with sharp table talk, Luke Schwartz in an 8-game match would have fans salivating.
