Upswing Poker founder Doug Polk is to attempt to win $100,000 in one month, playing on the new WPT Club Gold platform.
In a move to prove that the poker dream is alive and well, Polk has signed up to this audacious challenge after viewing the standard of play on the new sister site of WPT Global, WPT Club Gold which services users in the United States and Canada.
Polk has committed to a few poker challenges throughout his career, succeeding in all of them except his first one back in 2008.
He rose to the top of the heads-up NL cash game tree, defeating Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky to claim the title of the best in the world. He also defeated Daniel Negreanu in a similar match, winning $1.2 million.
And then there was the bankroll challenge to turn $100 into $10,000 which was completed in only 60 days on the soft WSOP platform.
Can Doug Polk Win $100,000 in 30 Days?
This is a big ask, for sure. The challenge begins on March 3, 2025, and runs for exactly 30 days, ending April 1, 2025.
Every session and hand will be streamed live, providing full transparency and allowing fans, skeptics, and aspiring players to watch his progress in real-time.
And ever the businessman, Polk is also tying in a generous giveaway with the challenge. Polk promised to give away the entire amount of profit to anyone who uses his code for WPT Club Gold.
Ok, he says $100,000 is the target because he wants to dream big, but he does admit that after a flurry of number-crunching it is more likely to be around the $68,000 mark.
But that’s not the entire story: you see the thing is that currently as everything stands, Polk will only be able to play a single table at once. That’s right, no multi-tabling for now.

Doug Polk has thrown in an additional layer of fun for the challenge by offering a prop bet: he’s willing to put up $100,000 of his own money at 3:1 odds.
