There are very few poker pros brave enough or winning enough to do so. Daniel Negreanu has now released his live tournament winnings of the last nine years showing a whopping $11,000,000 profit!
I have posted my live tourney results minus buy ins publicly for years, but upon request from the haters:

Daniel Negreanu releasing his stats
If Daniel thought the haters would really be kept at bay, he had another thing coming, one of poker Twitter’s finest immediately trying to pick holes in Daniel’s numbers.
“So are you saying you had 100% in all of these events? If you didn’t bink $8.3M in the $1M one drop you are basically b/e?”
That came courtesy of “Faceless Matt”, the kind of Twitter “burner” account that seems to pop up with great regularity on Daniel’s feed. The GGPoker ambassador initially responded, tweeting “So you want to just take out the buyins where I won but not the ones I lost? Haha. I played 3 events for $1 million but in and several others above $250k.”
That didn’t seem to do the trick, however, the troll claiming that Daniel had probably sold much more of the buy-in for his biggest win than in other events.
“Scoring big when having low % would make your realized profit much less,” claimed “Matt” and was joined by a namesake, the second Matt tweeting:
he went on record saying he didnt have 100% of himself in the onedrop fyi.
he also sells action quite frequently during the wsop.— Matt (@Mattm4444) July 28, 2021
That massive scoop – or massive runner-up cash, rather – came in the summer of 2014 and vaulted Daniel to pole position in the all-time money winner’s list. He would only relinquish that lead in 2018 when Justin Bonomo produced a monster sun-run year, worth $25million.
Of course, Daniel Negreanu is one of the very, very few players willing to share such information at all, and it’s not the first time he’s done it, despite the inevitable trolling.
The age-old debate over how accurate the Hendon mob results are when it comes to actual profit saw DNegs at the center of a slightly controversial claim that very few pros in the top 50 were overall winners.
In 2017, he revealed that the true high rollers would be struggling to make ends meet even if they cashed for $2million per year:
“Well, the truth is, if a player plays the full high roller schedule and cashes for $2 million, they are all but certain to have had a losing year, and that’s before expenses.”
He then revealed that his own 2017 winnings of almost $2.8million resulted in a small loss.
“I felt like I had a decent year in terms of results, but when you break down the numbers into an actual profit vs loss, I essentially broke even!
- Buyins: $2,874,164
- Payouts: $2,792,104
- Profit: -$86,140
That was the net result of 21 cashes from 71 events played and led to Negreanu re-thinking his playing style and skills, as he revealed in response to a follow-up question this week.
I went into the lab in late 2017 with @avoidthe9to5 @therealmjpoker of @PokerHybrid and legit came 2nd in the first event after coaching for $936k
Mostly by adding quarter pot sizings and a few other things.

Among the very few other pros to let the fans and fellow players in on the secret numbers was Steffen Sontheimer, the German revealing a horrendous -$1.8million start to his summer of 2018…
Finally accounting is done, just waiting for all shareholders to finally ship those moneyz.
Tourneys: 20
Bullets: 32
Buyins: 2,196,300
Cashes: 237,878It's gonna be a great summer🙄
I know you love that stuff @RemkoRinkema pic.twitter.com/jTNV1u8jJr

Of course, none of these numbers include the cash games and online lives of poker’s biggest names.
Negreanu’s accounting doesn’t add in his $1.2million Grudge Match loss to Doug Polk, or the $350,00 handed over in the HighStakes Duel with Phil Hellmuth!
His final results for 2021 will make for interesting reading, but regardless of whether he is up or down, one thing is certain – the trolls will crawl out of the woodwork.
