Daniel Negreanu leaves PokerStars!
Daniel Negreanu is used to being headline news but this week he outdid himself – two of the biggest stories of the week featuring KidPoker as he announced his split with PokerStars and then sold out his WSOP offer in mere minutes…
Negreanu and PokerStars have been an item for as long as many poker fans can remember – a 12 year partnership that has seen equal measures great times and controversy. His time as an ambassador is now over, recently-married DNegs taking to Twitter to share the news.

“It was a great run but we are no longer going to be an ambassador for the company”
Describing his relationship with the red spade site as an “incredible run”, Negreanu explained “My life is taking on a new direction …gonna have some babies, get the grind up for the World Series”.
Then came the news, not exactly shocking, but the timing perhaps surprising: “It was a great run but we are no longer going to be an ambassador for the company…”
Negreanu spoke of “the opportunity to travel the world” that PokerStars gave him, naming Barcelona, Monte Carlo and the PCA… three of my favourite stops…” among the highlights.
An amicable split it seems, and naturally there was no mention of his recent un-ambassadorlike behaviour involving very public fallouts, nor of the SNE debacle or ‘More rake is Better’ controversies. These, for many fans of the game, had changed their opinion of Kid Poker.
