Daniel Negreanu has clarified his comment regarding Rob Mizrachi and Will Failla handing out fake vaccine cards at the Wynn Casino. The Canadian spoke about what he witnessed on last week’s DAT Podcast but it appears that his comment was misconstrued, leading to a thread being posted on 2+2.
Daniel Negreanu Clears Up Fake Vaccine Card Comment on DAT Poker Podcast
Negreanu had been playing a tournament at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas and saw Will Failla filling out empty vaccine cards.
He said Mizrachi had contacted him after hearing the comment to explain he was only joking around, and actually went to get vaccinated shortly afterwards.

Failla, on the other hand, doesn’t look as innocent.

Daniel Negreanu said:
“There’s no question that Will had vaccine cards there…writing shit on them. That’s what I saw happening, but anyway, Robert Mizrachi is vaccinated, not selling vaccine cards, and he’s going to be at the World Series of Poker.”
This topic obviously has potential to get quite heated. The WSOP vaccine mandate, while unpopular with many players, is a deal breaker with those who take Covid-19 seriously.
The thought of people bypassing the mandate with fake vaccine cards will worry a lot of people.
Will Failla Accused of Selling Fake/Empty Vaccine Cards
So, although Rob Mizrachi clarified his position, Will Failla definitely has some questions to answer.
A post in the 2+2 thread directly accused him of selling fake/empty vaccine cards at a private live poker game.
“Having played in a private game with Will (Emanuel) Failla over the summer, I can confirm I saw him selling fake/blank vaccine cards. I’ll note that I did some research but am not clear on how to report this. If anyone has good insight, feel free to PM me.”
This accusation will no doubt get straight back to Will Failla quickly, making it unlikely that he will be trying to pull off a stunt like this to play himself.
The organisers will be watching him like a hawk, along with anybody else appearing to be travelling with him. We wait to see if any legal repercussions arise from this accusation.
