Daniel Negreanu has taken a dig at fellow highstakes legend Justin Bonomo, tweeting that the self-styled “polyamorous, progressive, feminist” turns more people to the GOP than Mike Matusow!

“Him and those like him sway moderates towards the center to disavow their party affiliation because they don’t want to be associated with their radical ideology,” tweeted Negreanu.
His Twitter poll sits at almost 50/50 between those that think Bonomo’s views push people towards the Republican Party more than Matusow’s generally right-wing views.
Bonomo, who tops the all-time money-winners list ahead of Bryn Kenney, with Daniel Negreanu a distant third, is well-known for his left-wing political views and social stance.
The Virginia-born pro was involved in another Twitter row this week with Alex Foxen, accusing the serial conspiracy theorist and anti-vaxxer of using anti-Semitic tropes in his Covid-19 posts.

Negreanu also recently blasted Bonomo, ranting in his WSOP 2022 vlog: “This guy Bonomo, who is Justin Bonomo? Justin Bonomo was and forever will be a man who cheated at this game we love, poker. Cheated. Flat out cheated. Since then, he’s acted as a moral authority on all things good for poker.”
This came after Bonomo publicly bad-mouthed Negreanu for smashing his vlogging gear when busting out of the $250k SHR…

The cheating by Bonomo came back in 2006, banned from PokerStars for multi-accounting, though later allowed back after admitting his guilt and apologising.
This historic incident was enough for Negreanu to launch his attack on Bonomo: “I’ve spent most of my life promoting the game of poker to bring in thousands of people so that this f*****g weasel can sit on his couch and make a living,”
Daniel Negreanu’s politics are also fairly well-known and publicised, the GGPoker man famously taking out US citizenship in order to vote against Donald Trump.
Daniel Negreanu said at the time: “Figured I would get citizenship before Trump rounds me up humanely and puts me on an upscale bus back to Canada!”
That doesn’t put his politics a million miles away from Bonomo’s, although the “polyamorous, progressive, feminist” as he describes himself on Twitter considers himself to be left-of-left politically.
