Dan “Jungleman” Cates had to post a video after losing the Mini Galfond Challenge vs Phil Galfond, where he had to explain why Phil is the better player and man. He used this chance to announce that he will destroy Phil in the real upcoming Galfond Challenge vs Jungleman.

The pair played a 750-hand match that resulted in an €86,870 win for Galfond, but the side bet was every bit as interesting.
Instead of money, they decided, ‘The loser will post a video explaining why the winner is a better poker player & a better man.’
The bragging rights went to the RunItOnce boss. However, it was Jungleman Dan who had to man-up and explain exactly why his conqueror was the real deal.
The result, as you can see in Cates’ Instagram post above, was a hilarious performance of Jungleman in villainous mode plotting a comeback for when they meet soon in the real PLO Challenge match.
For those wondering where Galfond’s “Falcons” nickname comes from, look no further – the pair discussing their forthcoming battle earlier this year.

Galfond is up over $200,000
Galfond and Jungleman are still working out the details of what is expected to be a 7500-hand PLO battle. Dan “Jungleman” Cates admitted in his ‘better man’ video that Galfond has the edge in the 4-card game.
The man known to many online players as OMGClayAiken is already more than €200k up against online beast ActionFreak in the third of his PLO Challenge matches.
We’re covering that fight here and there is also an ad hoc match against Bill Perkins and the Thirst Lounge underway, Galfond currently up more than $90k.
Of course, Galfond already has one match win under his belt – an amazing comeback against VeniVidi1993 landing him a €100,000 side bet victory.
This week, despite describing Galfond in glowing terms, Jungleman has vowed to fight back when their real match starts – the mini-match ‘not the end of it!” according to Cates.

In fact, those who follow Jungleman’s Instagram account may think it’s all part of another ‘long con’ by Cates.
Last year he produced a 5-part InstagramTV look inside Bobby’s Room where he explained: “I’m going to go through the steps of the long con: a con that starts out slow and unassuming enough, in the beginning, only to grab them by the balls in the end!”
