Bilzerian is the poker amateur more noted for his non-stop Instagram feed of near-naked women, big guns, fast cars and a love of weed than for his skill on the green felt.
His recent brag that he had made more money at the poker table than Dan Jungleman Cates may or may not be true, but with Blitz Bilzerian it’s sometimes impossible to separate fact from fiction.

Hacker posts racist and abusive messages
For most people it wouldn’t be a massive problem, but when you have 27.2 million Instagram followers and another 1.5million on Twitter it’s probably not ideal to have someone apparently sharing racist and abusive messages under your name

The apparent hacker, named NuBLoM, also threatened to release a cache of nude pics from Bilzerian’s social media accounts.

As many people have mentioned, however, it might be hard to tell the difference between Dan’s nude pics and the stuff he puts out regularly anyway…
So why should poker players care about Blitz and his hacking problems? Well, love him or loathe him, Dan does actually play the game…
Dan Bilzerian is a welcome guest at the high stakes tables
And if his claims to have won most of his reputed $100 Million fortune in mega-highstakes private games against billionaire amateurs is true, then he has done something that likely no-one else ever has.
Naturally, as a friend of Jean-Robert ‘BrokeLivingJRB’ Bellande, he’ll certainly get a seat among the sharks whenever he feels like one…

…but those who have actually taken a close look at his play would be surprised if he could consistently beat $1/2NL.
Doug Polk picked Bilzerian’s game apart last year, describing the King of Instagram as a “a fish in the water” at the poker table.
He added that Bilzerian made numerous mistakes with “real simple, preflop decisions” and described the chances of Blitz having made his wealth from poker as “like, total bullshit”.
It’s not the first time the source of Bilzerian’s riches have been questioned, and it’s not the first time he’s had his social media hacked either, 2016 seeing the same result…
Hopefully for Dan his luck will improve -maybe he’ll find a safe password, or perhaps even a verifiable poker win?
