Clement Richez Takes Down Gold in $3k MidStakes Championship

Clement Richez was draped in the red, white and blue of the French Tricolore last night after bagging WSOP gold and more than $1million in the $3k MidStakes NLH Championship.

Event #89: $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship No-Limit Hold’em 

Richez was one of 17 who returned to battle it out for glory in the largest field ever assembled for a WSOP $3k event, 3100 players having already hit the rail over the previous three days.

With more than $50k locked up, it was the seven-figure prize up top that most were dreaming of, with six-figures for a final table run. Bulgaria’s Stefan Dimitrov would be the last to miss out, with England’s David Brehme pocketing a lifetime best cash by far for his 9th place finish.

His compatriot, Adam Owen, took out both Kuzmanovic and Pateychuk before Taylor Black fell in 6th to Richez, AQ running into AK, and Uvaydov falling in 5th spot.
