The online tournament great recounted how he was sending his horses funds to play as a part of his stable when the platform sent him a message that he was at his transfer limit—a whopping $1,000,000 for the month.
Incredibly, Moorman was almost in a fit of laughter when remembering that he only got about $100,000 back.
We know how much he’s won from tournaments over the years but surely this should still have stung at least a little bit.
It’s clear that this mishap didn’t deter Chris Moorman because the World Series of Poker was coming up and his stable was collectively asking what next?
So, what did he do? Of course, he declared he was going all-in and started to empty his bank account. Utter madness to those of us who have never dealt with sums of money like this in the past.
The interview is a great conversation with many interesting insights into Chris Moorman’s personality and career.
This is a guy with almost $20 million in online earnings plus another $6.3 million from live events. A WPT tournament win, WSOP gold bracelet and x26 Triple Crowns definitely makes him one of the greatest of all-time.
