Tournament crusher Charlie Carrel has come out of retirement to start a $50 to $10,000 challenge at micro stakes poker sites
The 24-year-old Brit told his Instagram and Twitter followers that he wants to help people to enjoy the same lifestyle and freedom that poker gave him.

Humble Beginnings
Charlie began his poker career, like most of today’s players, with a $10 deposit online. Before long he was seeing poker as a possible way out from the rat race.
In an interview, he told how his life was a struggle growing up, with his mum battling to keep the family afloat during difficult times.
Now though, he is already looking back on a career that has the rest of us green with envy. After winning more than $6.25 million in the live arena – plus millions more online – in only four years he has already retired from the professional circuit.
It only took 14 tournament cashes before he notched up his first seven figure prize after winning the 2015 €25,000 NL High Roller in Monte Carlo. Scooping €1,114,000, before anybody really knew who he was, put him on the map overnight.
Time to Give Back
After enjoying his short retirement, Charlie is not only looking to give something back to the poker community, but he has also started a charity. Details of which can be found in this new vlog:

He believes there is very little quality advice out there for players struggling to beat the micros. And he hopes that tonight is the beginning of something special for some player’s careers.
