There’s more odd and disturbing poker news coming out of the famed Two Plus Two forum.
A user who purports to be a player named Taylor Carroll from the Live at the Bike cash game streams posted a series of screenshots of text messages.
In those messages, another player from the stream, Charles Jiang tries to extort $1,000 from Carroll. Then he goes on to make a slew of weird threats.
Here’s a snippet from the stream, posted by the OP on 2+2, where the two can be seen playing together.
The Charles Jiang Extortion and Threatening Case on 2+2
According to the OP, Taylor Carroll, Charles Jiang got upset because some people on an r/poker Reddit thread, presumably jokingly, accused him of Mike Postle-like cheating.
The post, in which Jiang boasts of a $30K winning session, was deleted off of Reddit by now. However, Carroll posted an archived link.
The accusations, serious or not, seem to have send Jiang into a frenzy. He messaged Carroll, suspecting it was him who started bringing up cheating in the comments. The two had conversed before the stream.
According to screenshots, Charles Jiang demanded to be wired $1,000 as compensation for the false accusations. Evidently, Carroll didn’t comply, rather asked Jiang to meet him in person. Jiang initially agreed but didn’t follow through.
Charles Jiang Texts Get Weirder and Weirder
From that point onward, it’s hard to make sense of Jiang’s messages.
At times, he’s apologetic, at times, he’s threatening with legal action again. And what’s even odder that he seems to have delusions about his exceptional poker and IT skills.
Partway through this strange conversation, Charles Jiang offers to give away his 100% precise method of reading other players at the poker table. He offered to reveal his magic as compensation for his baseless legal threats.
However, some texts later, he feels sure once again that it was Taylor Carroll who started the malicious cheating accusations against him on Reddit and starts leveling threats again.
Perhaps the most disturbing of them all is where Charles Jiang writes “think of your job your wife your future – just pick up”, when he was trying to get Carroll on the phone.
Below, you can read a couple of snippets of Jiang’s and Carroll’s texts back and forth.
The vast majority of the responders are on the OP’s side, and people don’t really question the authenticity of the texts. Even Garrett Adelstein posted in the thread.
Who Is Charles Jiang?

Very little information is available about him online. When one googles “Charles Jiang poker” or “Chao Jiang poker” the top results are related to this alleged harassment of his. The man doesn’t even have a Hendon page.
If these texts posted by Taylor Carroll are in fact from Jiang, he will have legal trouble. He might face charges of threats, harassment and extortion. Also, he overall comes off as a mentally unstable man.
As of now, Charles Jiang hasn’t been confirmed to be back on LATB. Since the texts mentioned the other players not wanting to have him back on the show, I could be evidence of the posts’ validity.
However, nothing’s been proven in a court of law yet. All of these accusations above are just allegations at the moment.
