CZ, the founder of the biggest crypto exchange in the world Binance, has revealed that he built his $96 billion fortune with a poker game!
The Chinese businessman started his working life flipping burgers at McDonalds before moving into computer programming and later becoming one of the world’s most prominent crypto entrepreneurs.

CZ’s life took a sharp turn when in 2013 he was invited to a private poker game with Bobby Lee, then CEO of BTC China, and crypto investor Ron Cao.
The pair encouraged Changpeng to transfer 10% of his net worth into Bitcoin, which at the time was only priced at less than $1,000.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Binance – A Rags to Riches Story
Originally founded in China, Binance was forced to move its operations out of the country following extreme regulation by the government, and now the firm is going from strength-to-strength.
Last year, more than $20 billion of revenue was generated through what is now the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. This is more than triple what rival $50 billion firm Coinbase Global is expected to post for 2021.
Only a couple of years ago, an average of $10 billion worth of transactions would pass through the exchange. Now a bad day will see $40 billion with a recent record of $170 billion passing through the coffers in 24 hours.

The Future of Binance

After following the advice to convert 10% of his wealth into Bitcoin, Changpeng later sold his apartment and put the lot into the world’s leading cryptocurrency.

The $96 billion figure noted above doesn’t even include his cryptocurrency holdings.
