Bill Perkins has bought out of his $1,000,000 weight loss prob bet with Shaun Deeb early, as he would most likely have lost it, for a knock down prize of $800,000.
So last night after discussion with @crashleydeeb we decided to accept the buyout from @bp22 for 800k. I can’t thank him and Charlie enough for the bet they offered – it gave me the motivation to prove everyone wrong. I’m still working toward my goal of 17%. I’m going to get…

Deeb has been working to get down to 17% bodyfat for the last 11 months and still had 3 months remaining until the start of the World Series of Poker when his weigh-in was scheduled for.
Bill Perkins decided that he’d seen more than enough progress from the poker legend and put out an offer to end the challenge right away.
Deeb accepted even though he was clearly on his way to win the wager regardless.
The financial incentive seems to have done the trick. Deeb only had $100,000 at risk but was on his way to banking a cool million dollars.
That must have given the MTT legend satisfaction enough because almost two thirds of respondents to a poll were of the opinion that he had no chance of success.
Also, as a mark of respect to those who placed a wager on him to win against Bill Perkins, Shaun Deeb says he will continue to put everything into making the weigh-in come WSOP time.

In total, Shaun Deeb has lost 80 lbs (36kg) in 11 months and increased his fitness massively.
When asked if there was an absolute low point of the challenge, Deeb replied that he never considered quitting for one minute given how much time he had dedicated.
He even said that being a volume/long-term thinker the EV of the bet was great for his grinding mindset.
For anybody who is interested in making a bet on whether Shaun Deeb can make it to 17% bodyfat by the start of the World Series of Poker, he is offering to lay 3:2 odds. but it won’t be Bill Perkins any longer.
