Bill Perkins has created another major storm in the poker world by accusing Jean-Robert Bellande of cheating.
Perkins and Dan Bilzerian attacked Bellande on social media over his running of a private game where he had action from multiple participants.
Another Cheating Storm
Many will be disappointed to hear yet another tale of unethical behaviour. It’s only a few months since Perkins ranted about cheating in another private game.
There he found out that rich amateurs were hiring elite professionals, such as Dan Jungleman Cates to ghost for them.
This time around Perkins and Dan Bilzerian are complaining that Jean-Robert Bellande behaved unethically by not declaring that he was backing at least two of the players in the game.

Bellande took to Twitter to complain that he was having the worst week after losing more than $400,000 and then his friend Bilzerian turned on him.
loosing 400k+ this week (only 80 in that game) and having my friend, @DanBilzerian turn on me = rough week. funny thing is, i think those guys were only showing off to impress him. i’m super bummed right now. (and would still vouch for that game). #brokeandbummed

Perkins Finds a Difference of Opinion
What happened next might surprise a few readers.
Bill Perkins is undoubtedly a man of integrity. In fact he recently offered to pay legal fees for those being targeted by Mike Postle in a revenge lawsuit.
Being a man who thinks this way he was probably expecting a more conclusive result from a poll he posted about transparency.
He asked the Twittersphere if Bellande should have informed the other players that he was backing them financially.

Amazingly more than 25% refused to back him.
Surely such a big chunk of the poker community doesn’t condone shady, deceptive behaviour?
High stakes reg Shaun Deeb was a little on the fence about it all.
“Depends if host also plays in games. These things are super common in every HS games surprised you don’t expect this in every game bp,”
Andreas Froehli was quite clear that he thought it was out of order.
“Imagine raking $, being a winner at the game and staking the other winners in the game and everyone being okay with it,”
What Made Perkins Suspicious?
When we get rumours such as this we’re often left wondering how it all came to light.
It’s unlikely that Jean-Robert Bellande made a public announcement during play, so something weird must have transpired.
There was talk of wacky play and an investigation but we know little else unfortunately.
