Biggest Poker Bad Beat Jackpot of All Time Hit Worth $1,900,000!

The biggest ever poker bad beat jackpot has hit at the Playground Poker Club in Quebec, Canada. On Wednesday last week, the record was broken in a non-descript low stakes cash games, paying out a massive CAD $2,590,185 ($1,900,000).

At the time of writing, it isn’t clear how much the winner’s share will be—or should that be loser’s share? All we know is that we expect them to get the biggest chunk with the remainder shared between the rest of the table.

We don’t have all the action for the hand in question, but the final board shows how it all ended.

The board was 2d 7d Td Th 8d and one player was holding pocket tens for quads. No player in their right mind would ever expect to lose with quads here, even though it’s easy to see that it’s not the nuts.

The player would also have known that even in the unlikely event of losing there was the bad beat jackpot to back him up, anyway.

But there it was. The other player in the hand flipped over 6d9d for a straight flush and took down the hand from his shell-shocked opponent.

This was the largest ever bad beat jackpot in live poker history, beating a record that was set in the same Playground Poker Club last year.

In June 2022, the hand played out almost identically. Quad tens lost to a straight flush in just the same manner.
