In the new High Stakes Poker episode, there was an absolute insane 3-way cooler hand between poker legends Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu and Patrik Antonius.
Line-up of High Stakes Poker Season 9 Episode 13:
They are playing 8-max NL$500/$1,000, which guarantees more action and much bigger pots from here on.
Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu returned and replaced Eric Persson and Krish, who won the largest pot of Season 9 in Episode 12:
- Phil Ivey
- Daniel Negrenau
- Tom Dwan
- Doyle Brunson
- Patrik Antonius
- Jonathan Gibbs
- Stanley Tang
Patrik Antonius makes Daniel Negreanu fold a higher Full House: $311,500 Pot
Patrik Antonius raises from UTG+1 with to $2,500. Jonathan Gibbs with , Daniel Negreanu on the button with and Phil Ivey in the small blind holding all call.
4-handed to the action flop of , which hits three of four players hard. Phil Ivey flops top pair good kicker, while both Patrik Antonius and DNegs flop a set, with the latter having the higher one. Phil checks, Antonius makes a $5,000 continuation bet and both DNegs and Ivey make the call, while Gibbs folds. Pot Size: $26,500
The on the turn is one of the most exciting cards in the deck, since it gives Phil Ivey Trips with good kicker, while both Patrik and Daniel improve to a full house. Ivey and Antonius check, Daniel Negreanu bets almost pot size with $26,000 and both Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius just call, which is surprising given the strength of their hand. Pot Size: $104,500
on the river and Ivey and Antonius check again to DNegs, who makes a $54,000 (52% pot) value bet. Phil Ivey makes a great fold, but Patrik Antonius check-raises All-In for $153,000 total.
Daniel Negreanu only has to call $99,000 in order to win $311,500 giving him pot odds of almost 4 to 1 , but he folds Nines Full of Tens.
Yes, there are not many hands, Patrik raises with in this spot that Daniel beats, but only given the fact that Pocket Fives is one of them makes it a call in my opinion.
Nevertheless, Daniel Negreanu lays down his hand and ends up folding the best hand, while Patrik Antonius wins a $311,500 pot with a lower full house.
