Allen Kessler has posted a furious tweet about receiving a penalty for eating in the playing hall at Orleans Casino. The American claims he left the area upon request and returned still chewing which was enough for the floor to give a one round exclusion.
Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler Infuriated Over One Round Penalty for Eating
No one will believe this.
I walk back from break @OrleansPokerRo1 $400 horse and have a pizza crust in my hand.
Floor says no food. I look down at my cards and walk outside the area and finish it.
I come back, and Im still chewing it, and floor guy screams 1 round penalty! pic.twitter.com/XIAwmQPkYI

It turns out that hours before the confrontation, Kessler had a row with the same floor over being incorrectly moved while late registration was still ongoing.
He was unhappy at the breach of correct procedure and annoyed the staff member by side-stepping him and explaining his disagreement with another floor.
“The @OrleansPokerRo1 floor was upset because I went to another floor and told them that he didn’t know the basic rules of moving/balancing players during open registration. So he used this situation as retaliation. Really petty. No reason it had to escalate the way it did.”

Is Allen Kessler Overreacting?
For many observers, Allen Kessler’s response might look like a massive overreaction but the “Chainsaw” is a stickler for the rules and having things done properly.
In this case he’s probably right, especially given the petty revenge angle over the previous confrontation.
Allen Kessler is now demanding an apology from the Orleans Poker Room, the floor in question, and even the Orleans Executive Director of Poker.
But he did stop at calling for a boycott which would have been immature to say the least, but he added that this was only because his complaint had been escalated with him claiming that he was promised a call by upper management.
This all seems a bit of a strange commotion if we’re being honest. Twitter posters were saying that this is the only poker room in the area that doesn’t allow eating at the table.
Although, to be fair, given Phil Hellmuth’s recent performance to eat a sandwich during play maybe all the poker rooms should consider a blanket ban to avoid that kind of a scene again.
