ACR Poker has purged four AI bots wielding big stacks from the $12.6 Venom tournament. The unethical accounts were sitting with $230,000 worth of buy-ins which will now be redistributed automatically throughout the field.
Recap of bots banned mid Venom:
Withia – 23 starting stacks
Verucasalt5 – 10 starting stacks
MReGoR – 32 starting stacks
acquiton – 27 starting stacks
Thats $230k worth of buy ins (ignoring rake).

The site has come under heavy fire in recent months over a perceived problem with bots playing on the platform.
But now the management are making it clear that a new era is underway with the security team working around the clock to make sure that the games are as ethical as can be.
The Venom tournament is the flagship event for ACR Poker. Almost every time the next edition comes around we see a record-breaking guarantee.
So, if there is ever a time for ACR Poker to crack on with the bot eradication program, it is now.
On April 29, an official statement was posted detailing the expulsion of “Withia” who was at the time playing with a stack of 23 starting stacks.
“In line with our security protocols and following a review of suspicious playing patterns, we have suspended the account of the player under the username “Withia,” who currently holds the second position in chips during the ongoing multi-day tournament, The Venom $12.5 Million GTD Tourney.”
But there were others, too.
- MReGoR – 32 starting stacks
- acquiton – 27 starting stacks
- Verucasalt5 – 10 starting stacks
And not just in the Venom tournament, according to Twitter account MTT Database Review.
They posted that approximately 50 bots which they reported recently have all disappeared from MTTs of $5-$215 stakes.
Twitch streamer and high-stakes MTT player Rayan Beriuzy was initially incensed about losing a pot to Withia on Day 1, but later relented and tweeted about what a great job ACR Poker is doing in difficult circumstances.
I actually think ACR is doing a great job for MTTs.
I like their schedule, SOME of their structures & they are actually competing with other sites during major series. The Venom is truly an amazing concept & tournament. I support it but I hate how they do everything half assed.

There’s no doubt that ACR is doing a superb job with its MTT schedule and players shouldn’t be too hard in the coming months as new security protocols are wheeled out to rid the platform of bots once and for all.
“As always, we continue to actively monitor the play on our network and are committed to maintaining a fair and secure gaming environment for all our players.”
