Neymar finishes in 2nd place at the PokerStars Titans Event
Due to its large $5,200 buy-in, the PokerStars Titans Event is one of the toughest and most prestigious online tournaments.
Last night football star Neymar came very close to winning it by losing heads-up to “Mikesonas” from Lithuania.
59 entries smashed the $200k guarantee by more than 48%!
In the end, there was $295,000 in the prize pool and $91,563,64 up top.
Seven places were paid and notables that cashed were German online crushers bencb789 and Cristian “WATnlos” Rudolph, who finished in 5th and 6th place as well as football legend Neymar.
The latter even made it to heads-up play and had the chance to win the biggest title of his poker career.
It wasn’t meant to be though, as he lost against “Mikesonas” from Lithuania. Still a very impressive performance and a huge $66,056.16 score for Neymar.
Czech Double Victory in Bounty Builder Series Event #70
The big online tournament highlight currently at Pokerstars is the Bounty Builder Series.
Event 70-H, a $530 NLHE 8-Max, had 532 entries, which was not enough to cover the large $275,000 guarantee.
The biggest name on the final table was two-time WSOP Main Event final tablist Antoan Saout. Saout took a strong 4th place for $13.498.80
It was the day of the Czechs, who landed a double victory. They decided to chop the remaining prize pool and only play for bounties.
One on one, “LIKEAG6” defeated his fellow countryman “Jakub_Odvar” to take home the $38.271,84 top prize.
