Daniel Negreanu Cracks Klein’s Pocket Kings: $140,800 Pot
There is a straddle to $800 and DNegs makes it $2,000 to go from Under The Gun with 9♥9♦. Bill Klein decides to get tricky by just calling from the Small Blind with K♠K♥, inviting Charles and Stanley Choi to also come along. Pot Size: $8,800
Klein gets punished straight away for his slow play, when the flop of Q♣10♠9♠ gives DNegs a Set. Negreanu makes a $6,000 continuation bet and Bill is the lone caller. Pot Size: $20,800
The 8♠ on the turn is a big scare card as it completes both flush and Open-Ended Straight Draw. Daniel consequently checks and Klein checks behind. Pot Size: $20,800
On the 8♦ river Daniel fills up, while Bill Klein makes Two Pair. After the turn was checked though Bill now leads for $10,000 and Negreanu makes a large raise to $60,000.
Although Klein only beats a bluff here, he ends up making the call just to get shown a Full House by Daniel, who wins the largest pot of High Stakes Poker Season 10 Episode 16 worth $140,800.
Eric Persson folds a Set to DNegs Straight: $136,600 Pot
Bill Klein open-raises UTG with K♠J♥ to $1,400 and gets four callers. Among them Eric Persson with 4♠4♦ and Daniel Negreanu, who completed from the big blind with his favourite hand 10♥7♦. Pot Size: $7,600
5-way to an interesting flop of 8♠6♦4♥, which gives Persson bottom set and DNegs a Double Belly Buster Straight Draw. Eric leads for $3,000 and only Daniel calls. Pot Size: $13,600
Eric Persson then bet $9,000 in the dark before the K♣ turn and Negreanu snap-called. Pot Size: $31,600
The 5♠ on the river puts a one-card Straight out there and completes Daniel’s gutshot. Persson nevertheless bets almost pot size with $30,000.
DNegs then raises to $75,000 stating that 10-7 offsuit is his favourite. Everybody knows that even Eric Persson, who decides to lay down his Set, which is a great fold. Daniel wins a $136,600 Pot.
