High Stakes Poker Season 10 Episode 12 Highlights – Eric Persson Gives JRB The Middle Finger In $435,400 Pot

Eric Persson gave JRB the Middle Finger in High Stakes Poker Season 10 Episode 12 after successfully turning his hand into a bluff in a huge $435,400 Pot.

Line-up of High Stakes Poker Season 10 Episode 11:

They play NL$200/$400 with a $800 straddle and continue with the same line-up as in Episode 11:

Eric Persson Gives JRB The Middle Finger In $435,400 Pot

In this orbit the straddle to $1,600 is on. Andrew Robl open-raises from the cut-off to $5,000 with K♦Q♥. JRB decides to just call on the button with A♠K♣ inviting Persson with A♥9♥ and Tilly with 3♥3♠ to come along. Pot Size: $13,400

The 5♣6♦A♣ spells trouble for Eric, since he flopped top pair and JRB underrepresented his hand preflop. It checks around to Bellande, who bets $12,000 and only Persson calls. Pot Size: $45,400

10♦ on the turn and Eric Persson check-calls a $30,000 second barrel by JRB. Just like that there is $105,400 in the middle.

Eric checks in the dark, before the 8♦ shows up on the river. Bellande goes for value by betting $65,000 into $105,400 (62% Pot).

However, Persson now check-raises to $265,000 turning his hand into a bluff. Nice play, since the board got much scarier on the river with the backdoor flush draw, the Open-Ender with 74 and the gutshot with 9c7c all came in.

JRB can only beat a bluff now as Eric wouldn’t raise even with a hand such as AQ here, so he would have been better off checking behind.

With his river bet, he gave Eric the chance to make a move and to blow him off his hand, which is exactly what happened as JRB folds and Persson wins a huge $435,400 Pot with the worse hand.

Stanley Choi gets Eric Persson with a semi-bluff: $120,600 Pot

There is a straddle and a re-straddle to $1,600. Stanley Tang makes it $6,000 to go with 98 and Eric Persson with A♣2♣ and Stanley Choi with 7♠6both call. Pot Size: $18,600

3-way to the action flop of 10♠6♦2♠, which gives both Tang and Choi a flush draw and Persson bottom pair. Tang continues for $11,000 and Eric raises to $31,000. Choi comes back over the top and 4-bets to $60,600.

Stanley Tang, who actually has the best hand with 56% winning probability, makes a tight fold with his Straight Flush Draw and now it’s back on Eric.

Persson got caught as he can’t call a 4-bet with just bottom pair and Stanley Choi picks up a nice $120,600 Pot.
