Floor allows alleged poker cheater Mike Postle to play the Million Dollar Heater using an alias

The most infamous poker cheater Mike Postle was back in action this week, wearing what looked to be a disguise of sorts as he made a final table run at the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi under his first and middle names, Mike Lawrence.

Mike Lawrence Postle became the most reviled person in poker after he was caught cheating on the livestreamed Stones Live Cash Game back in September 2019.

Outed by whistleblower Veronica Brill, Postle’s method of cheating became known as CTO (Crotch Theory Optimal) as he consistently referred to his mobile phone held between his legs under the table.

The full story, known as Postlegate, consisted of poker community investigations, $multi-million lawsuits and allegations of domestic abuse and scamming.

The most infamous poker cheater Mike Postle was back in action this week using an alias and wearing what looked to be a disguise of sorts.

Postle went to ground under a barrage of headlines, giving only one interview – albeit a rambling trainwreck of an interview – with Mike “the Mouth” Matusow.

This week, however, Postle was back in business – and the business end of the $1,200 buy-in Million Dollar Heater Series Main Event at the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi.

Veronica Brill was among those to ask questions of the cardroom allowing Postle to play…

His almost sole defender through close to two years of headlines, accusations, and allegations, RounderLife magazine, were happily tweeting about their main man Mike…

Others on social media were less happy that the most infamous cheat in poker was back in the game, a selection of quotes below describing the general atmosphere:

  • “Why is the floor allowing him to use an alias let alone play this is absurd.”
  • “I think if we raise hell/mass tweet and bluff a boycott, casinos would react and ban him.”
  • “Anyone find it ironic that he hasn’t played a tournament in 3 and 1/2 years, and the first time he gets back on the felt he’s at a final table?”
  • “Dude robbed TONS of people and gets to just live like it never happened. A true human scumbag if there ever was one.”

A tournament win on his comeback may have been too much to ask even for the God-like play of Postle, and he eventually fell short of the $200k+ top prize…

…but the money he did win may not be his for long. Brill, who along with Todd Witteles was awarded a $27k judgment against Postle courtesy of an anti-SLAPP lawsuit, revealed.

“There’s a lawyer that reached out to me…he said they’re going to file some paperwork to garnish anything Mike Postle makes for that final table.”
