Austrian online grinder Justus Held aka “taxidriver” is the latest player to win a Gold Ring at the WSOPC Winter Series, while PokerStars’ flagship event ended with a surprise winner.

Justus Held is the latest WSOPC Gold Ring Winner
Justus Held is a typical online grinder and regular at the bigger events on GGNetwork. Now he landed a big one by turning a mere $100 into $106,873.95 in WSOPC Event #9.
Held plays under the screen name “taxidriver” on GG and was one of an incredible 5,924 players, who bought into WSOPC Event #9, a $100 Jingle Bells Flip & Go NHL.
GGNetwork guaranteed a staggering $100,000 for this event, so that there was a juicy $107K up top.
Other notables, who made the final table were , Maksim “sp!ke” Bura and Santtu “84562” Ojala, but they busted in 5th and 6th place.
Heads-up for the title were Justus Held take and “Yu rong quan88” from Hong Kong. Held was unstoppable and left his opponent no chance to win his WSOPC Ring together with $106,873.
HypnosisMass from Malta wins the Titans Event
PokerStars” flagship tournament ended with a big surprise this week as two online players battled their way to heads-up play in the toughest online tournament in the world.
We saw a tough final table featuring online superstars Samuel “€urop€an” Vousden and Michael “imluckbox” Addamo.
Addamo busted in 6th place for 20K, while “€urop€an” followed him to the rails in 4th place for $35,158.
Given how tough this tournament is, it was a big surprise that two online players, “sebtheking” from Canada and “HypnosisMass” from Malta were the last two men standing.
The prestigious title went to the sunny Mediterranean island of Malta and “HypnosisMass” collected a whopping $83,672.04 for this stunning victory.
