Ivan Leow the Elite Poker Player
Ivan Leow had become one of the world’s elite poker players over the last few years, building up his live tournament record to an impressive $13,147,664.
This amount places him third in Malaysia’s all-time list behind his friends Paul Phua and Richard Yong.
His record in the notoriously tough Triton events was stellar with two wins coming in Jeju and Sochi and a total of 12 final tables.
The largest prize of Ivan Leow’s career came in Northern Cyprus last year in the Super High Roller Bowl Europe for $2,460,000.

Triton Cyprus Cancelled
Triton announced that the series would end immediately with the cancellation of the $100,000 buy-in short deck main event and the $50,000 short deck tournament that was paused overnight with only seven players remaining.
Ivan Leow will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The high roller community is close-knit due to the small number of players who can compete in such events and the Malaysian was universally popular.
Poker legend John Juanda’s condolence message read:
“Ivan was one of the smartest, funniest, kindest poker player I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was truly one of a kind. I’ll remember forever all the sweetest memories we’ve shared in and outside of poker: KL, Tokyo, and all the Triton stops. R.I.P. Ivan”
