Stanley Tang Wins a Massive $407,000 Pot from Tom Dwan
After a $2,000 straddle, Tom Dwan makes it $5,000 to go with Q♣10♦. Jason Koon calls with A♣3♣ as does Stanley Tang from the straddle with 10♠7♠. Pot Size: $17,000
3-way to the action flop of J♥8♠Q♠. It checks to the preflop raiser Tom Dwan, who makes a $10,000 continuation bet with top pair plus gutshot. Koon folds, but Tang makes check-raises with his flush draw plus inside straight draw to $30,000, Dwan calls. Pot Size: $77,000
The 2♣ on the turn is an absolute blank. Stanley now leads for $40,000 and Tom once again makes the call. Pot Size: $157,000
The 9♠ on the river is a very interesting card, since it completes almost every draw out there and makes Tang the flush and Dwan the straight.
Stanley Tang decides that $125,000 is the right value bet sizing and he is right as Tom Dwan ends up paying it off.
The DoorDash founder wins the biggest pot of the High Stakes Poker Season 9 Finale worth a whopping $407,000!
Tom Dwan Makes A Great Call To Get Revenge in a $389,500 Pot
Q♥J♦2♠10♣
Jason Koon open-raises from UTG to $2,500 with 10♣7♣, Stanley Tang calls from middle position with the good old 10♠2♠ and Tom Dwan looks at Q♥Q♣ in the small blind. Very nice spot for Dwan, who squeezes to $13,000. Jason quickly gets out of the way, but Stanley decides to see a flop. Pot Size: $32,500
Heads-up to a flop of 4♦2♥7♦ and Tom cbets $22,000 (68% pot size). Tang makes the call with only bottom pair. Pot Size: $76,500
The J♦ on the turn is definitely a scare card for Dwan as it completes the flush draw. “durrrr” checks and Stanley takes the initiative by betting $40,000 into $76,500. Tom check-calls. Pot Size: $156,500
The 7♥ on the river makes the board even scarier for Dwan, since now also a full house is possible and Tang pulls the trigger by going All-in for $116,000.
Tom Dwan thinks the hand through and makes a brilliant call, which earns him a sizeable $389,500 pot.
