Joe Ingram has resurfaced in the poker world and appeared on the Doug Polk Podcast to chat about where he’s been and to give his opinion on how the poker world is changing today, including the recent cheating scandals.
Joe Ingram Chats with Doug Polk About What He’s Been Up to
Gonna be putting the heavy in heavyweight mic night tonight. See you guys at 2 eastern. https://t.co/TMmJY7yywB

Joe Ingram was the first poker world podcast king before he slowly moved away to pursue other projects, allowing Doug Polk to step into his shoes post-retirement.
They have also worked together before on projects such as the Mike Postle cheating scandal, and so, given what is happening in poker today, now seemed as good a time as ever for Ingram to come back into the poker world.
Hello 😈
1st time on poker twitter in 2022, I’ve missed you dysfunctional people very much…

Where Has Joe Ingram Been?
Poker fans might have been a bit disappointed to hear what Joey Ingram has been up to over the last 10 months. The answer wasn’t anything exciting or ground-breaking to say the least.
He simply unplugged himself from his previous reality, including all social media, and headed down to the sunshine of Mexico to relax and reassess where he wants to go in life.
The vacation included lots of reading, with a particular focus on how the world really works today.
Crypto and NFTs are another interest that Ingram picked up over his hiatus, and with a serious motivation to learn the industry at a deep level over the next 3-5 years.
Ingram then confirms that although he is returning to poker in some fashion it won’t be as a full-time content creator. This will, no doubt, be of great disappointment to many but the world moves on and people change.
Joey Ingram Comments on the Recent High-Stakes Cheating Scandal
It was always certain that the topic of conversation would eventually gravitate towards the recent high-stakes cheating scandal.
Doug Polk and Joey Ingram discussed in-depth what we know about the transgressions of Ali Imsirovic, Jake Schindler, and Bryn Kenney, and mooted over the possibility of a poker blacklist from prestigious live events.
The pair were of the opinion that they have enough clout in the poker space to the point where they can make an impact, possibly enough to encourage the formation of a pact between leading brands in the industry.
Finally, Polk and Ingram talk about the recent announcement that the Ladies Event will not be covered on PokerGO.
This created a discussion where Ingram accused the broadcaster of disrespecting the women in the poker community while Polk pointed out that targeting only 8% of a market will almost certainly be a bad business strategy.
Make of that what you will.
It’s great to see Joey Ingram back and we look forward to seeing him collaborate with Doug Polk once again to dissect some of the issues facing poker today and tell us what we need to know.
