Her story has shocked the poker community and raised awareness of the kind of treatment that many women are subjected to in the game.

The Reasons Why Not More Women Play Poker
It’s a long-standing question to ask why more women don’t play poker. Surprisingly, given that we can simply ask them, there is still no definitive agreement.
Many say that women are just not as interested in games as what men are. Others say that men make poker a toxic environment for women, making them feel unwelcome.

Ladies Championship not included in 2022 WSOP Live Stream Schedule
So, just as the discussion about getting more women into poker and making them feel welcome gets going, what poker didn’t need is any negative press on the matter.
Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened when PokerGO declined to promote the Ladies Championship at the 2022 WSOP.

It’s all very well putting all of the high roller events on stream, but a part of this should be promoting the game where it is most effective too.
POKER PROductions says that the omission is due to the tournament taking place at the same time as the main event and so holecards would not be available to the viewers at this time.
Does this really matter though? Maybe they will reconsider and give poker this boost at a time when it needs it.
