“pisgapoker_1” from Israel wins WSOPC Main Event for $634,856
Absolute highlight of the WSOP Spring Circuit Online Series was of course the Main Event with a huge $5,000,000 Guarantee.
The tournament was a huge success as it generated an incredible 13,397 entries, which smashed the guaranteed prize pool by 34%!
In the end there was a staggering $6,698,500 in the prize pool with $634,856 up top. By far the biggest name at the final table was 2019 WSOP Europe Main Event Champion Alexandros Kolonias.
This time the Greek tournament crusher had to settle for 5th place, which was already worth $200,757.
The Heads-Up was an Israeli-Austrian battle between “pisgapoker_1” and “pedrinho0o”. The former came out on top to take down this very prestigious title and a career-high $634,855.85 score.
Austrian high stakes reg “NotSureIf” takes down WSOPC Event #16 for $116K
“NotSureIf” is no stranger to the high stakes tables at GGPoker. Now he won his first WSOPC Ring in Event #16, a $1,111 Ukraine Fundraising Event.
799 players supported the good cause and generated a nice $887,689 prize pool with a $116,637.33 first place prize.
Several notables made it to the final table such as Yuri “theNERDguy” Dzivielevski, Elio Fox, Markkos Ladev and Wang Kun.
None of them made it to heads-up play though with Kun busting in 3rd place for $68,727.
Nevertheless, it was a very interesting heads-up match between online regulars Arkadiy “Kamsky” Tsinis from the US and “NotSureIf” from Austria.
The latter had the better end for him and won his first WSOPC Ring together with $116,637.
Patrick Leonard wins two Majors in a single night on PokerStars
Another top pro, who was crushing last night is partypoker pro Patrick “pads1161” Leonard. The British high roller legend won not one, but two Sunday Majors at PokerStars last night!
Pads kicked things off with a victory in the legendary Sunday Warm-Up for $16,170.79.
46 high rollers paid the $1,050 buy-in and easily exceeded the $35,000 guarantee by producing a $46,000 prize pool.
Only five places were paid and among the players, who cashed were three notables with Spanish online crusher Juan “MalakaStyle” Pardo Dominguez, Jonah “RaiseUpBlind” Silverstein and Patrick Leonard.
The Brit defeated “bebainis777” from Lithuania to add another major title to his impressive online results.
And Leonard was far from being done as he also made the final table of the $1,050 Sunday HR PKO Edition, which had a $125,000 guarantee
167 players boasted the total prize pool to $167,000 with a whopping $43,304.71 up top.
Several big names made it to the Grand Finale including Sam “SamSquid” Grafton, Chris “ImDaNuts” Oliver, Luigi “Il-Giuglia” D’Alterio and once again Jonah “RaiseUpBlind” Silverstein.
Very strong showing by the Canadian pro, which was only topped by Pads, who once again was unstoppable.
This time he left Canadian player “aminolast” no chance one on one to take home his second major title of the night.
Winning to High Roller club tournaments in just one night definitely leaves a scent mark and we will see if Pads can continue his upswing in the next weeks.
