Phil Hellmuth is being trolled hard by DNegs on Twitter over suggesting Adam Driver or Hayden Christiansen should play him in a movie about his life and career.
The Poker Brat reckons that Twitter thinks Adam Driver is the perfect choice and says that 15 years ago Hayden Christiansen was ready to sign a contract but changed his mind and starred in Jumper instead.
He even thinks Ashton Kutcher was committed to playing the role at some point.
Twitter thinks Adam Driver should play me in movie about my life, script: “The Madison Kid.” This excellent script ends in 1989 (need younger actor), was written in 2001: in 2007 we had Hayden Christensen (to play me) & Jon Chu attached to direct, but Hayden shot “Jumper” instead https://t.co/UWhb0U7aZW

“Ashton Kutcher was committed to play me in “The Madison Kid” (a script about my life) in 2004. In 2007 Hayden Christensen was committed to play me. The movie was almost green lit, we had 43 out of 44 pieces in place, but Hayden was 44th piece and chose to shoot “Jumper” instead”
Of course it didn’t take long until people started to poke fun at the 16-time WSOP bracelet winner for having such lofty standards over who should play him in The Madison Kid.
Phil Hellmuth Trolled by Daniel Negreanu Over Life Story Movie “The Madison Kid”
Daniel Negreanu was quick to throw out some choices for his own movie, The Toronto Kid—Michael B Jordan, David Beckham or Brad Pitt.
All dead ringers, he said!
Is someone trolling me?!? Hi Daniel! 😂😂 https://t.co/kmcLJOfmgm

Will The Madison Kid Ever Get Made?
The Madison Kid was written back in 2001 and details Phil Hellmuth’s rise to stardom in the poker world when he became the youngest ever winner of the WSOP Main Event at the age of 24.
Will the project ever get off the ground? Given that the script is 21 years old and so much has happened in Hellmuth’s career since, it’s tough to think that any investors won’t want an updated version.
Heading into the 2001 World Series of Poker, Phil Hellmuth only had six gold bracelets to his name. With another 10 added to his record in the years after, how can any film about his life ignore this?
If anything, Phil Hellmuth is a bigger name in poker today than he was 20 years ago.
Hellmuth says that The Madison Kid is a great script and he’s convinced it will get made at some point, but he fails to give any details on why he’s so sure.
For sure “The Madison Kid” (movie about my life will get made, it’s a good script). We need a 20-something year old actor that looks like me, as the script ends in 1989 w me winning the @WSOP main event. Ashton Kutcher and Hayden Christensen both would have been great!
