Niklas Astedt takes down The Big 20 Rewind for $105,264,82
Online legend Niklas “Lena900” Astedt simply keeps on crushing 2021 by winning one major title after another.
The $5,200 Big 20 Rewind was one of the biggest highlights of last night’s Sunday Grind as it had a huge $300,000 Guarantee.
78 of the best poker tournament players in the world entered and created a $390,000 prize pool with a staggering $105,265 up top.
Due to the large $5,200 buy-in it was not surprising that the final table was full of crushers including German online bosses Christian “WATNlos” Rudolph and Claas “SSick_One” Seegebrecht, Mike “SirWatts” Watson, Talal “raidalot” Shakerchi and Portuguese online prodigy Rui “RuiNF” Ferreira.
However, none of them was able to overcome the currently strongest force in online poker Niklas “Lena900” Astedt. Once again the Swede came out on top and left the competition in the dust.
Heads-Up Astedt defeated German player “waldemarundich” to add another prestigious victory and a whopping $105,264,82 to his ever growing bankroll.
Vlad Martynenko ships Super MILLIONS WEEK Event #2 after 3-way deal
The biggest prized online tournament of the last week was Super MILLIONS WEEK Event #2 with a massive $1,000,000 guarantee.
1,120 players made this event a huge success as the guaranteed prize pool was boosted by more than 11%. In the end there was an incredible $1,120,000 up for grabs.
Many top pros were in the field, but only three of them namely Chris Moorman, Kazakh tournament crusher Daniyar Aubakirov and Vlad Martynenko made it into the Grand Finale.
While Moorman was the first player, who had to leave the final table and Aubakirov finished in 6th place, Martynenko went all the way.
He secured himself the biggest share of the prize pool by making a deal, when he was chipleader 3-handed.
Martynenko walked away with a massive $132,683.99, while Runner-Up “PieOMy” from Vietnam and “Ronalauc” from Ireland also landed six-figure scores.
