High stakes cash game wizard MJ Gonzales has stepped in to help a terminal cancer patient achieve his dream of playing in the World Series of Poker Main Event.
The American heads-up specialist politely asked if he could put a stop to a market of backers who were buying 70% of Michael Graydon’s action. He then offered to hand over the full $10,000 himself without asking for anything in return.

To all the people that has offered to buy pieces:
Does anyone mind if I just put him in for the whole amount and let him keep 100% of himself????
If no objections, consider it done!

Heart-Warming Story
This has to be the most heart-warming story seen in the poker community in recent times.
Michael Graydon tweeted about how doctors can no longer do anything more to save his life and he just wanted one opportunity to play in the WSOP Main Event while he still has time.
Judging by all of the replies, Graydon wouldn’t have had any issues selling his action anyway. Noah Schwartz then popped up nine hours after the original tweet was posted saying he would take any pieces still left.
Amazingly Phil Hellmuth then arrived to say he was up for a meet.
Oh wow!!! Thanks Phil!! It’s been fun to watch the 🐐 do 🐐 things this year! Keep it up!

Run It Once founder Phil Galfond also answered a call to send Graydon a free membership to his training site so he can study until his heart’s content and get his game into the best possible shape.
Of course 🙂

Wouldn’t it be great if a real top, elite player was to offer some coaching on top of all of this?
As a measure of how well the poker community can come together: before MJ Gonzales stepped in, there were replies from several individuals offering around just the $100 that they had spare.
I don’t need a piece and I don’t have a lot but I can send you a hundred bucks. Lost my best friend to brain cancer in 2001. Please DM me.
