Online poker tournament legend Niklas “Lena900” Astedt is once again running hot lately. This weekend he added another major victory and WSOP Circuit Ring together with a staggering $758,443 to his incredible results. The Swedish poker sensation began the final table as chip leader and never looked back.
The second biggest name on the final table was GGSquad member and Twitch Poker streamer Patrick “Egption” Tardif, who unfortunately was the first Seat Open, after losing a big pot against Astedt and then busting with A7o vs. A2o from Lena900, when the Swede made a full house.
Further notables among the finalists were U$179,853S pro David Miscikowski (8./$101,139), Fabian Spielmann from Germany (6./ $179,853), Brazilian Allan Mello (4./$319,829) and Chinese player Chi Yanfei.
The latter, not only made it to heads-up, but even had a big 4:1 chip lead at the start, but he was not able to bring it home.
Niklas Astedt found a quick double up with Pocket Kings to even the match and then took full control, when he made his flush on the river against Chi’s top pair.
Astedt continued to increase his lead to almost 4 to 1 and then put Yanfei All-In with A4o and Chi called with Ks7s.
Ace on the flop and Niklas Astedt won his first WSOP Circuit Ring alongside the huge $758,443 first place prize.
