Andres Korn is the WSOPC Deepstack Champion for $163,389
Last night Event #8, the $800 Deepstack No Limit Hold’em Championship, took place at the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series.
A stunning 1,545 players registered and created a huge $1,174,200 prize pool with $163,389 up top.
Biggest story was that Katie Lindsay, the wife of online legend Chris “moorman1” Moorman, made the final table! Although she busted in 9th place for $16,389 another strong showing by Lindsay, who has amassed a remarkable 86 cashes and $407,946 in tournament winnings.
Further big names on the FT were Rafi Elharat from Israel and former WSOP Bracelet winner Andres Korn from Argentina.
While Elharat went out in 3rd place for $91,880, Andres Korn went all the way to victory by defeating German player Yannick “ProbierEs” Schumacher heads-up.
Four years after winning his Bracelet in 2017 WSOP Event #56 for a staggering $618,285, Andres Korn now joins the elite club of poker players, who have won both a WSOP Bracelet and a WSOP Circuit Ring.
Shawn Daniels ships WSOPC High Rollers Sunday Main Event for $139K
The WSOPC Sunday ME is a 2-Day Event and attracts lots of top players due to its relatively high buy-in of $1,050 and massive guarantee of $1,000,000.
This time 998 players registered and there were a staggering $139,088.22 up top.
Biggest name on the final table was Swedish online poker legend Simon “FiestaPagana” Mattson better known as “C.Darwin.2” on PokerStars.
Mattson finished in a strong 3rd place for $83,559.40, while the heads-up was a North American affair between Paul Risman from Canada and US pro Shawn Daniels.
The latter was unstoppable that day and took home the massive $139,088 first place prize and the prestigious title.
Jonas Mackoff Wins WSOPC Event #5: $315 BOUNTY GIANT for $71,140
Jonas Mackoff won his second WSOP Circuit Gold Ring in Event #5, the $315 BOUNTY GIANT.
A stunning 2,508 entries smashed the $500,000 guarantee by more than 50% creating a $752,400 prize pool.
Several notables made it to the Grand Finale including Austrian pro Stefan “C3H5N3O6” Lehner (3./$26,169), Daniel “Rock Pitbull” Bertoldi (4./$20,733) and Ran “Pearblossom” Koller (8./$8,458).
It was already Jonas Mackoff’s second WSOPC victory after winning the 2012 WSOPC San Diego $355 No-Limit Hold’em Event.
Jonas Mackoff has also amassed a whopping $1,068,195 with his biggest score coming from a deep run at the 2017 WSOP Main Event for $263,532.
