Making $250,000 in a single session? That’s exactly what Doug Polk did in his latest late-night heads up session against Bill Perkins.
Bill Perkins loses more than $200,000 against Doug Polk in a single session
Even though Doug Polk has retired from poker, apparently he decided to help out Bill Perkins. The businessman is currently preparing for his upcoming heads up duel against Landon Tice.
While Polk even moved from Las Vegas to Austin recently, it seems like he still loves the game of poker and is still ready for a challenge.
While I love Austin, I've never felt more poor than being here.

His most recent session might also help him to pay the bills in Austin, since it’s more expensive than Vegas.
HEADS UP FOR SOULS IS ON!
I battle the Legend @bp22
200/400
20k hands
I pay 9bb/100
More details to come, but BLOOD WILL BE IN THE STREETS 🔥📈

Therefore, he decided to play a couple of hands against the heads up expert Doug Polk. Unfortunately, things did not go quite smoothly for Perkins though.
just casual 2000 hands of 200/400 until 4 am, standard stuff retired poker players do https://t.co/1TH9PjTu2e

He played approximately 1650 hands against Polk at NL$200/$400 and got crushed. Even though he lost 5.5 buy-ins during that session, it seems like he already analyzed his mistakes which may help him in his upcoming heads up duel.
I lost 5.5 buy-ins ish versus @DougPolkVids over 1650 hands. There are two egregious mistakes that 1. I knew is making but fuck it I got to see and one I read my charts wrong and got into a situation that cost by 3 buy ins. Other mistakes for sure. #Poker

Perkins vs Tice Heads Up Showdown
Bill Perkins is certainly working on those flaws, however, it seems like Tice might be an even bigger challenge for him than Polk.
Tice has played a short match against Polk in 2020 and beat the former best heads up player in the world.
Tice is obviously well-prepared for the duel, and it seems like Bill Perkins will play some more sessions before the big event.
Hopefully, he will be able to step up his game until the challenge takes place so that we can witness an even more exciting heads up battle.
Tice does not have the bankroll to play those high stakes and will be selling a lot of the action. Nevertheless, he still puts a lot of his net worth on himself.
As soon as the event kicks off, we will provide regular updates in our poker news.
