An astonishing public row over poker training products erupted on Twitter this week, with Dominik Nitsche telling Benjamin ‘bencb789’ Rolle he “can fuck right off”. Nitsche claimed his fellow German pro is selling students “snake oil”…
I’d recommend reading the latest Twitter storm of your hero. A 12 tweet thread on why I’m a terrible human being.

Dominik Nitsche vs. Bencb
As you can see from Jaime Staples tweet, the row involved some very high-level and high-profile players, with Dominik Nitsche (who is behind the DTO Poker training site) swinging at Rolle’s non-GTO-approved training material for Raise Your Edge (RYE)…
Today’s free pro tip is inspired by my good friend Ben. Everyone’s favorite poker coach.
Left: snake oil
Quite frankly the worst starting hand chart I’ve seen. Terrible
Right: math

It all apparently kicked off when Rolle criticised his rival’s training site on a stream, leading him to the 12-tweet thread Nitsche pointed Staples to…
2 change his opinion about us". He says "he always endorsed RYE and spoke positively about us" up until the point I criticized DTO on stream and I shared my honest opinion.

Both men are proven winners, of course, Rolle taking down the GGPoker Super MILLION$ tournament live on Twitch last month for a $425k score. Nitsche has a combined $25million across live and online results.
At issue, however, was the training material their respective companies offer to students.
England’s Brandon Sheils defended Rolle, writing, “@bencb789says explicitly says his charts are exploitative – it’s not snake oil when he’s not claiming they are solved GTO ranges.”
Nitsche was having none of it though, replying: “They’re not exploitative. That’s a marketing buzzword he throws around to sell his shit. He makes all of it up so people buy his product.”
When Sheils offered up some advice, Nitsche quickly shut him down with even more invective aimed at Rolle…
No. Fuck Ben and his shitty courses. Associate me with calling people out for selling garbage and offering the good stuff
At a fraction of the cost.

Nitsche not holding back
Ryan ‘Protential’ Laplante entered the discussion, offering up his own course’s version as being similar but cheaper. Nitsche, however, was still in full combat mode…
Who asked about your app Ryan? And what do they have to do with my 3.5x strat
— Dominik Nitsche (@DominikNitsche) March 27, 2021
Laplante persisted, tweeting: “You are claiming what others have is bad, and are putting your content out there as the best, yet are holding back. It’s incongruent (sic).
He added: “It makes sense if you truly believe these private ranges are leagues above everything and don’t need to give it out to still be the best.”
Nitsche replied, “I have students who I teach that too (sic). Some stuff I can’t sell,” claiming he had spent, “5 figures and months developing it.”
Patrick Leonard tried to play peacemaker by bigging up all the varied and different learning methods and players in the market.
‘Pads’ claimed that while Nitsche’s DTO might edge it, Rolle’s RYE is not far behind…
In terms of putting out volume of content, having an active discord server and his partner @highhands89 seems perfect fit! I think in a very saturated space @DTOPoker are coming out on top in terms of spots and situations to train and evaluate. @raiseyouredge of course very close

However, hurting anyone’s feelings with verbal attacks were at the bottom of Nitsche’s care-about list, even his own it appears in the following claims…
Lovely day. Got threatened to get beaten up 5x and called a dick about 10x.
0 people claiming what I said wasn’t factually correct though and that’s what matters.
There’s no room for feelings in poker lads.

Rolle’s own tweets describe Nitsche as a “hypocrite” who is “simply salty and angry.”
He defended his RYE material, stating: “I prefer our marketing by delivering great value and content instead of going after others and putting them in a bad light. Something Dom should def learn and grow up a little.”
