Matt Bode ships wins his first bracelet in the $500 No-Limit Hold’em Super Turbo
The WSOP 2020 is off to a great start with all events attracting more than 800 runners and generating big prize pools. Find out here who won the bracelets in Events 4-6.
Event #4, a $500 No-Limit Hold’em Super Turbo had a whopping 1,179 entries, which all had the chance to turn a small buy-in of only $500 into a life-changing cash.
$530,550 were in the prize pool and a 180 places got paid.
Phil Hellmuth, Ari Engel and Kevin MacPhee with deep runs
Several big names with Phil “Lumestackin” Hellmuth (37th – $1,963.03), Matt “RubberFist” Stout (24th – $2,864.97), and Ari “philivey” Engel (16th – $3,501.63) and Kevin “ImaLuckSac” MacPhee (5th – $22,389) had deep runs, but didn’t manage to add another bracelet to their resume.
It was a big name though with Matt Bode, who had the run of his life time by winning two major events on WSOP.com:

Allen Chang Wins $1,000 NLH Freezeout for $161.286
WSOP Online Event #5 was a $1,000 NLH Freezeout and it attracted 854 players to generate an $811,300 prize pool.
126 places were paid and three notables Michael “itwasthator0” Gagliano (12th – $8,680.91), Ryan “Protential” Laplante (11th – $8,680.91), and Greg “ClickingBtnz” Himmelbrand (10th – $8,680.91) all busted just shy of the final table.
Nevertheless, it was a big name with Allen “Acnyc718” Chang, who won the prestigious gold bracelet together with the $161.286.44 first-place prize by defeating Philipp Yeh Heads-Up.

Nathan Gamble becomes first poker player ever to win a bracelet live and online
Last night the first exotic event with the $600 PLO8 6-Max took place, but it nevertheless attracted 883 entries, which resulted in a $449,820 prize pool.
As PLO8 is a very complex game many high profile poker pros and Mixed Game players were in the field.
Daniel “DNegs” Negreanu added another WSOP cash by finishing in 59th place for $1,304.47.
Other notables that made it into the money were: Chance “BingShui” Kornuth (39th – $1,754.29), Mike “The Mouth” Matusow (37th – $1,754.29), Ali “sasukeuchiha” Imsirovic (26th – $2,518.99), Max “MaxSparrow” Pescatori (10th – $4,813.07), Jeremy “Chipchecka” Ausmus (8th – $9,096.76)and Ryan “Flipflip” Lenaghan (7th – $10,750.69).
Nathan Gamble left all of them behind him and became the first player ever to win a WSOP bracelet both live and online.
