There were plenty of VIP’s on show at the recent partypoker MILLIONS Europe festival in Rozvadov. Not only the likes of Phil Ivey and former WSOP champ Ryan Riess – three of VIP Grinders own qualifiers mixing it with the world’s finest poker stars at Kings Casino in the Czech Republic.
The VIP-Grinders Online Poker Challenge Season 1 was where VG member luckybroo1 won his huge partypoker Live Main Event package.
The Russian topped the OPC qualifying leaderboard, scooping the €12,000 partypoker package after fending off a strong challenge from Hungarian grinder Szapintosz and another Russian player, art213.
All three made their way to the Czech Republic for partypoker’s MILLIONS Europe. Luckybroo1 took on the big boys and girls of poker in the Main Event.
The €5million guarantee meant our VIP man was in a field of around 500 runners that included legends of the game. Both old and new – Freddie Deeb, Kenny Hallaert, Mustapha Kanit and Kristen Bicknell were among them.
With the €10,300 buy-in paid for by his VIP OPC win, it was a freeroll with a possible €1million prize at the end of it.
There was to be no happy ending for our Russian brother, though, luckybroo1 missing out on the money but having the experience of a lifetime in the process.
The winner was a surprising name, local Czech player Lukas Zaskodny making a heads-up deal with compatriot Josef Snejberg – and then winning the trophy battle.
Heads up for the #MILLIONSEurope 🏆 and €1,000,000!

That meant a lifetime best €906,770 ($1,014,851) payday for Zaskodny, ahead of a final table that included partypoker pro Roberto Romanello and Highroller expert Charlie Carrel.
Back among the VIP Grinders trio, both Szapintoszand art213 had won €1500 packages to the Kings Open with their 2nd and 3rd placed OPC leaderboard runs.
That put them among almost 1000 entries at King’s, the €1million guarantee easily broken and €160,300 ($179,589) up top for the eventual winner.
Both our heroes made it through to day two of the five-day tournament. Though, unfortunately, the money stages were again a step too far.
Ireland’s Patrick Clarke took down the €160k top prize. Romania’s Alexandrou Papazian also scored a six-figure cash as runner-up in what doubled as the mini-Main Event.
