One unique aspect of partypoker’s Millions Europe festival was the ability to make it to the money stages via online play, 15 players taking this route through day one and day two before joining the live play on day three.
Team partypoker pro Roberto Romanello was among those who made it from a $109 buy-in into the money, fighting his way to a final table seat.
Former WSOP Main Event champion Ryan Riess was among those who didn’t make the cash, although he did manage a 9th place in the High Roller.
Local pro VojtechRuzicka, as well as Kenny Hallaert and Pierre Neuville and, are all well-known for their deep runs in the WSOP Main Event.
The latter duo would cash in Rozvadov, but couldn’t make the final table, which saw three Brits vie with three Czech players, one Austrian and one Frenchman for the title.
Here are your final 8 of the #MILLIONSEurope Main Event! One of the favorites for the title, Charlie Carrel, made a great start when he eliminated Paleta with kings against queens, but then everything went wrong for the Englishman.
Losing four all-ins in a row saw him exit in 7th place, and Romanello and Grafton followed him as the British challenge ran out of steam.
Meanwhile, French pro Romain Lewis had that all-important luck ingredient at the right moments turning it into a €428,000 ($479,015) cash in 3rd spot.
“I fully expect Romain to hit the river.” 🔮🤔
