Highstakes pros Doug Polk and Charlie Carrel have clashed again on Twitter. The war of words sparked by an amusing though rather nasty video Polk released focusing on the Englishman’s ‘top secret poker tell’ among other things…
Doug Polk made a video criticising me and trying to make me seem like a terrible person, taking out of context snippets of like 5 of my videos (I can taste the salt). He is currently deleting a lot of the top comments that congratulate me on my 1.3mil win (yay I won 😊)

Carrel had just won the Triton Poker £50k 8-handed NLHE title in London for £1,321,000 when he spotted the very personal hand breakdown that Polk used as a vehicle for his attack.
It follows a very public falling out earlier this year after Polk had criticized Carrel’s opinion that ‘The best way to prevent child molestation is to have more empathy and love for child molesters.’
That confrontation from April made it into Polk’s latest go at Carrel, in which he described him as a ‘YouTube celebrity and renowned philanthropist.’
Polk had previously described Carrel as ‘attention-seeking’ and ‘hypocritical,’ the Englishman responding with phrases such as ‘Have some fucking grace…lose the arrogance’.
There was an epic “fuck off” from Carrel as well. Polk using this last insult to comic value in this week’s (otherwise quite excellent) hand history breakdown.
The usual Polk poker lesson was mixed in with snarky comments, of course, the turn card in the hand against Patrik Antonius seeing Carrel pause for thought, and Polk pounced…
“Charlie Carrel decides to slow down – in fact, when he has to put in his own money, he often slows down” commented Polk. With that, he was off into an aside about Carrel’s Abundance charity promotion, which confused Carrel back on Twitter…
He even went after my charity project, Abundance. Weird jab.

Polk is no stranger to keeping arguments going on social media, of course, and this one was no exception…

…but the nastier elements of the parody had Carrel saying enough is enough and seeking a rest from the ‘Twitter toxicity’ of Polk…
