Daniel Negreanu described as The Leader of Stupid Inc. in Twitter attack
Daniel Negreanu is no stranger to Twitter spats, but his blocking of one user has backfired spectacularly – an anonymous poker insider account fighting back with a vicious essay on KidPoker’s alleged failings and hypocrisy…
NEW: My new essay on poker. “The Leader of Stupid Inc.” A 5,600 word opinion piece on a beloved man-child who bullied and started a fight with a nobody. And the nobody decides to fight back,https://t.co/WD4gmHy14J
— Rachel Lees ??? (@rachelees69) June 19, 2019
Who ‘Rachel Lees’ is remains unknown, but ‘her’ inside knowledge of the poker industry and business world has seen 2500 tweets in 2 and a half months focusing mainly on the pitfalls and perils of the poker community.
That, inevitably, brought Negreanu and Lees together – “a firestorm of back-and-forth arguments that were never likely to have a happy ending…”
The man who says and does stupid things with a vengeance has finally blocked me. I have blocked him back.

The “150+-strong mob that blindly attacked me,” Lees claims after she disagreed with DNegs, is part of what has led to her plan to leave ‘poker Twitter’. Her parting shot aimed at ‘The Leader of Stupid Inc.’ however, is a brutal dismantling of Negreanu from start to finish.
This is in part, says Lees, because:
“Daniel Negreanu is a high-school dropout. His youth was spent running around hustling. He may be a poker genius or savant. However, I do not think his lack of formal education is the sole cause of his stupidity. Far from it.”
One of Daniel Negreanu’s many Twitter wars
Negreanu has been involved in many of the biggest Twitter wars seen in poker circles, falling out with Doug Polk, Shaun Deeb, Sam Greenwood, Tom Dwan, Mike Matusow and even Phil Hellmuth.
His ‘More rake is better’ duel with Polk made headline news every time the contentious issue was raised.
Doug Polk believes that Daniel Negreanu was fired by PokerStars
Just a couple of days ago Doug Polk was firing shots at Daniel Negreanu on Joe Ingram’s Poker Life Podcast once again.
Doug said in the interview that he supposes that Daniel Negreanuf was fired by PokerStars because of his ongoing arguments and antics.
“Daniel Negreanu wants all to hurt just as long as his own self-interest is preserved”
Rachel Lees picks this topic as a clear sign that “DN wants all to hurt just as long as his own self-interest is preserved”.
Lees claims that her calling Daniel “a hypocrite” was the final straw for the recently-married Canadian, who also parted ways with PokerStars just last month.
You are free to respectfully debate issues. I wouldn’t block you for that.
Call me a hypocrite, especially when you are way off base and out of line, and that’s headed towards block status.
It’s up to you what you choose to do with that.

Lees argues that “when you litter the world with as many random opinions as he has over the years, things are going to contradict and conflict:
This is just a fact. For someone to be so angry at being called hypocritical or a hypocrite just baffles me”.
Rachel Lees focuses on poker controversies in her writings
The attack on Negreanu, justified or not, is a lengthy one. Recent controversies such as the ‘Johnnie Vibes MarkUp’ affair, the Shaun Deeb overweight/premature death jibe, and the ‘Hendon Mob top losers’ debacle are all covered by Lees.
“It’s not pretty, but the buck lies with Negreanu and with those who follow him”, says Lee.
“UNFOLLOW him and send a message, if not to him at least to yourself”, she states in a ‘Call to Arms’, adding: “Lurk instead if you are addicted to his stupidity”.
